Release: MC360 XBMC Skin - SVN Revision 1077 Merry Xmas

Merry Xmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate this time of year, if any)!

My plans changed today, so I had some free time to tend to some things in MC360 that I've wanted to do since the fall update to the real Xbox 360 dashboard. I've changed some icons around, fixed the size of the Gamertag font on the Gamercard and made a few small fixes. As always the SVN is the best place to get MC360 and stay up-to-date, but for those still not with the times, I've added a build of the new revision 1077 to the MC360 downloads section. Enjoy.

Team Blackbolt's Next Project: XBMC Skin 'EX'

With 2007 almost to a close, its getting pretty obvious that our previously announced next project 'EX' will not be being released during its previous 'Holiday 2007' slot. This is mainly due to myself (Blackbolt) not having as much free time as I've previously had. Also, the team is pretty much just myself now. Jezz_X continues to maintain the current skins on the SVN, but there is no active development happening amongst the team as everyone is off doing their own projects.

Release: MC360 XBMC Skin - SVN Revision 1039

Xbox Media Center recently changed the way it handles languages in skins. Previously MC360 had its custom strings (text) in a single file, 'Translations.xml'. This was a shabby method at best for people using foreign languages. Now XBMC has changed it so skins will automatically detect your language and switch the skin to match it. Team Blackbolt (Jezz_X) still has to add the files to MC360 and [ur=http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=630213]we still need help translating languages[/url], but no need to seperately download them and add them as they'll be included in the skin itself from now on. If your language is not featured in MC360, the strings will default to english.

Recently XBMC added a new feature that alows us to have our own strings.xml for the skins the same way that XBMC has its. For you translators this means that you will need to redo your translation files into a new format (the same as XBMC) Translate.xml is no more and has been deleted from the skin in svn.

Release: MC360 XBMC Skin - SVN Revision 964 with XBMC Black Market

Last week I made a post explaining that I would be collecting many MC360 Themes and putting them up onto the XBMC Live Place theme section. Well today that idea was scrapped in favour of something much grander. Martomo and asg, members of the Xbox-Scene forums have created a new website along with the help of timdog, Archigos and Nimrod that is to hopefully become the new home of all XBMC skin themes. The XBMC Black Market already has hundreds of themes available for download and from today, you can download these themes with previews right from within MC360's own Live Place section. The new XBMC Black Market Theme Browser script is in it's early stages, so we appreciate your patience and help with stomping out any bugs that you come across. A dedicated forum thread has been created in our 'Themes' section of our forums, the link is below, if you would like to comment on the theme browser or help with bug testing, please use that dedicate thread.
